Tohma Bridge
Task
Tohma (Martyr Gaffari Güneş) Bridge, built adjacent to the existing bridge over the Tohma Stream, which divides the Malatya Plain into two, on the road connecting Malatya and Sivas, provides both road and railway transportation. The steel beams used in the construction of the bridge, weighing a total of 2700 tons, were manufactured with a height of 3 m and a width of 16 m; It was placed by pushing along the bridge axis with the "Incremental Launch Method (ILM)", which has many applications around the world. Welding was done on the bridge for a length of 162 km.
